High School with a Higher Purpose

Chesterton Academy of Detroit is a new classical high school in the Catholic tradition opening Fall 2020. We will raise up a new generation of joyful leaders and saints, educated in the classical tradition and the truths of the Catholic faith.  Our rigorous, integrated curriculum will unlock student potential and prepares students to succeed in college and professional life, and to excel in service of family, of country, and of Christ our Lord.

Our Headmaster

Mr. Peter P. Ohotnicky

“I am humbled and deeply honored to be selected as the Headmaster for Chesterton Academy of Detroit. The opportunity to return to Michigan and to provide classical education in our rich Catholic tradition for the families of the Detroit Metro area is wonderful; I am very excited to have this role in this mission. It is a particular delight to be a part of the great Chesterton Schools Network, which is having such an impact for Catholic education across the nation, and even internationally."

—Peter Ohotnicky, Headmaster
